How is “abstract the premise” grammatically incorrect??
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not? not seen.
Trying to abstract the premises of this coversation to facilitate your? skewed viewpoint? WHAT HELL IS THAT? Sound like a street hustler. Not a well consctructed sentence. Go back school sir.
“tryiing to abstract the premise” – grammatically, that doesn’t make sense. Stringing together (however awkwardly) a few SAT words with a conjunction thrown in here and there doesn’t make you sounds insightful. On the contrary, you sound foolish. And if it “sounds” like a fool….well, you know the rest. ? And I’ll bet you don’t need a thesaurus to figure it out.
I’m not sure if you’re intentionally trying to abstract the premise of this conversation to facilitate your skewed viewpoint, or if you’re just plain deluded. Not that there’s much? of a difference.
Don’t ask questions that you already know the? answer to. Are we now going to pretend that my perspective, or yours, or anyone’s in America, isn’t somehow influenced (to varying degrees) by our racial background, cultural upbringing, etc.? To deny that would be foolish.
Why do you think it matters that you’re? white?
As a 40 year old white guy who grew up with “advantages”, so to speak, you might think I’m the prototypical “Jalen-hater” that’s come out of the woodwork since the Fab 5 documentary. Not at all. Not only does Jalen speak his mind, but he does so with a level of insight and transparency that’s refreshing. Anyone can “keep it real”, but very few can do so with the level of context and insightfulness Jalen provides. Well done? and keep it up, Jalen.
He’s clearly come to peace with himself. I understand what you’re trying to say but I think for him any negative feelings he has are outweighed by? the positives. He’s got pride in himself.
You never hear the whole story. I mean, I’m sure he deals with emotional problems cause of his? father, but he hides it well here. “My life is perfect now.” I mean, what else can you do. You ain’t gonna ask for help over live national tv…
He? was being compared with Oscar Robertson when he played in the NBA
Nice story,Jalen has his head on straight.Watched Jimmy Walker play in college from 1964 to 1967 at Providence.Still have season tickets.Have seen hundreds of great players.Walker was the best I’ve ever seen.First player to dribble between his legs, spin dribble. He was 6’3 220 lbs.Big,strong.Averaged 30 a game.first team all? america.People would chant Walk,Walk,Walk when he brought the ball up court.
watching this in tears as it registers with me. my father left when i was 6? and my lil bro n sis (twins) were infants. i knew him but they didn’t. they only saw him 1nc in 22 yrs and our father passed back in Nov…my lil bro made a comment about being angry with our dad bcz he left. i tried 2 find a way 2 reach him but couldnt. GLAD I FOUND THIS cuz i am going 2 show it 2 him…THANX JALEN! this is a GREAT EXAMPLE that bitterness n anger doesnt have 2 consume ur entire life

Heavy stuff, Jalen. Much respect to you for telling your story and having the strength to forgive and let go of past wrongs. It’s a lesson a lot of us could stand to? learn in our own lives.
Great player? and person.
