The best, (I’ll say that again), THE BEST rider and ambassador for the sport of freestyle BMX riding EVER.
No one else ever invented, innovated, pushed forward nor did as much for the popularity, image and soul for the sport as much as Mat Hoffman. Not even close.
@ThePanzerfist44 I see your point but the whole point about the sponsors is so you can ride without having to worry about money. If your not sponsored and you ride, espically(sorry for spelling) big air your going to break something and that doesn’t look good when your explaining to your boss… It is all about having fun and going bigger! The sponsors just means don’t need to worry about living costs and you get to travel the world as a bonus!!

We can only try to bring back the era of bike riding that Matt started. Back then it was all about fun. Pure and simple fun. Now….I don’t even know what the young punx are trying to accomplish. Tight jeans? so what? Were is the sport going? How is it growing? If you ride for the joy of it, and you aren’t trying to get a sponsorship from Red Bull then your in the right place. The whole self centered “I want a sponsorship” is what killed the sport in the ninties. Don’t let that happen again!!
Matt Hoffman is the greatest rider of all time. I wont hear another bad word said or there will be trouble that you cant even imagine, picture being stuck in Doom…..
Hoffman does what the Xgames riders try to do today, 20 years ago, just for himself. The Condor is still flying!!
