I continue my Mac Pro upgrade series. In this video, I add 2 hard drives to my tower. The first drive, a Western Digitial 1TB for Time Machine. The second is the original 250GB drive that came with the Mac Pro, which will be used as a Final Cut Pro scratch disk.

Hey nice Mac Pro… Your look like someone? who can kick ass lol.
hey great video! thnx but i have a NTSF hard drive in my PC with alot of files (which i? don’t want to format)…i was planning to put the hard drive in my Mac Pro but will it work? thnks
man? i miss my mac pro. 2007 model but still it was nice and fast
I just realized you can actually just have a drive as a back up that you? can insert in there, all ready for backups then remove it and store it somewhere. Nice.
Wow. That was? easy. Scratched disks are also great for Photoshop – you can set in Preferences which drive(s) you can use as scratch disks.
Thanks Patrick Bateman…. ?

Quad Core? 2.66
Wich Mac Pro is? this? G5 or C2D?
Really like your install videos…?
sucks about losing your tax data.? Gotta love OWC. great vid
hey, cool video. is there a raid card in your mac pro? and what is this raid thing anyway? do i need? to have it to use multiple hard drives? thanks
are they? SATA II or SATA Hard Drives?
The Mac pro is the easiest mac to upgrade. Ram, Hard Drive, Graphics, optical drives, all very easy. Although the CPU and motherboards aren’t upgradeable. The imacs are? easy to replace the Ram, the white macbooks are easy ram and Hard Drive. I believe the Macbook Pros are harder, i’m not sure.
I would go with a 500GB,? either Seagate or WD. OWC has great deals on them. I’ll send you the link in a message. Btw, I will be doing a hard drive upgrade to my friend’s MacBook tonight demonstrating the universal drive adapter and Super Duper. Thanks again for watcing the videos, applegurl.
i was always under the impression that macs were really hard? to work on yourself. i just got owned!
Yup, it’s great to have a scratch disk – saves your drive that you run your OS on.
Did you get a 7200 rpm, 10,000 or 15,000rpm for? the 250?
I can’t wait to get my mac 😀
Good? video, I just bought WD 1tb HD for my computer. Lost all my work on a hard drive crash. Learned the hard way also
Nice video Michael! I’m thinking about picking up a few? 1TB drives for my PC at home. Can never have too much HDD space for backup.
