Back during High School, one of my hobbies/sport was Flatland Freestyle on a BMX bike. Another one of my hobbies were making home movies. Here’s a cross between the two. Shot entirely by me by placing my cam on a tripod and later on editing it. I had to transfer the film from VHS and basically re-edited it, but I chose to be faithful to my earlier editing. The slow motion bits were originally done by using an editing VCR with a jog/shuttle wheel, but there was a distortion on the original edited piece. Now I used software to redo the slow-mo parts and it is much cleaner now. I also chose to re-multiplex the audio, again being faithful to my original choice. Back then, I had to manually dub it by connecting the video cable to a VCR playing my clip, and the audio cables to another VCR playing the movie “Rad” because I chose a song in its soundtrack, namely “Send Me an Angel”. Again, it is much cleaner now because the dubbing is now done digitally. Hope you guys enjoy the short clip. It really brings back fond memories.
