hahaha. your so dumb.? “taking advantage of OUR public space”
“tagging houses n stuff abit harsh but still its PUBLIC and we just taking it back” you cant take back whats not yours? and by taking it back you are destroying any value it might hold.
I think that Dennis Enarson, Michael? Beran and Kaittichai Wanitsakun were best.
It’s my opinion, no offence :p
big companys taking? advantage of our public space to make money
atleest what we do is artistic, we do it for free, we dont want to pay money to get in a gallery or get permision, we take back the space and put it up for free
i always hear that from people who dont do graff
gang tagging and graffiti artist tagging is completly different,? i am not in a gang, i dont mess with gangs, and same with pretty much every one else, its just stereotyping us, every one thinks we ar elike “we do graffiti so we are in a gang and just want to vandalise” , anyway you se big billboards and adverts litraly everywhere you look, no one wants to se that shit,
I don’t mind graffiti when it is on a wall with permission. I don’t like it when I am driving down the street/ highway, and I see little gang turf wars all over. You pays taxes right? Your tax dollars as well as mine go? to the city to clean that crap up. You want to practice, do it on you own walls, get canvas or somthing. Then you have something you can sell if someone will pay for it. Otherwise all I am saying is don’t do it on the streets. I’d rather have my taxes go to something worthwile.
you are talking to a real graffiti artist, and without tags people cant do the huge “Murals”, think of it like bikes, got to start somewhere, every one starts as a lil kid wobbling like fuck n falling off, looks ugly so do the tags becouse thats people? begining, plus there is a art to tagging, some tags do look realy nice to us, tagging houses n stuff abit harsh but still its public and we just taking it back, and people dont accept it becouse they dont understand it, they dont want to either
@ Ideasoner
I’ll give you that, graffiti is cool when done in the right places, like a givin wall to do a mural or something. Or places where it is ok to do it. It sucks in that aspect of all the tagging that goes on. All that does is keep a pointless turf war going on, and makes our tax dollars go? to where it really shouldnt. Plus it gives it a bad name. Stop the tagging, and then the general public might see graf for what it really is, ART and personal expression.
