I used to ride since age 12, got my first Haro Master back in 1986 and also always wanted a GT Performer. Bought a rusted up blue one and restored it entirely with mostly all new parts, and painted it day-glo orange/red. This was my first time out in a year just testing it out, age 37 and still riding old school! No pads and was really sticky and humid, and the bike was slippery so I just stuck with tricks I did my whole life really well. I won 4 tournaments all first place back in the day from 87-90, and I plan on being back in top form by fall. Hope to get a better HD camera soon. Feels great to be riding again after about a 15 year layoff! Send Me An Angel was one of the songs I rode too back in the day and at my competitions, and the other version by Real Life. Did not take long for every kid in the neighborhood to show up as usual, I need to ride at 7am if I want any peace lol. Ran out of video but may add more later. Was tough trying to confine myself to that little area for the camera.
OR look up old school freestyle on youtube for some tips. I wish I had the time to ride 14 hour days like I used to, but I hope to get back close to my old level this Spring. OR just have fun with doing what I do best etc.? I can’t wait to rebuild my latest retro dayglo GT, also from eBay. Only sold this as I did not want the back brakes on top the tire I like then down in the middle.
Thanks, I was pretty rusty here and was my first time out after about 15 years, but still had it some! But I was riding since 1985 so I put in a lot of hours and won a lot of flatland contests back then. I was just sticking to what I always did best? and my favorite tricks, nothing super hard as I di dnot want to risk injury with no gear. Just takes a lot of practice an dedication. Some DVDs are out there and on here I am working a on retro blue and white for this Spring. Hope to get back to 100%

The best bike and the best era for riding.? I still have my RL 20 A frame. Nice to see there’s other guys my age riding.
That’s awesome, I? had the green performer back then and always wanted the Haro Master. I just picked up a blue performer to restore for my son, hope I can remember some tricks to show him
Great video man! GT Performer was the 1st bike I ever rode, but it was my friends! haha. I had a Blue Max back in 1986ish. Was’nt a freestyle bike, but I loved? it. Like I said in my other comment I rode a 93 Haro Master in my college years.I got it out of stoage about a month ago. It’s settin 10 feet from me!
