Makes me really sad to look back at this and then look at what the sport’s became now.
It’s “image”, the bikes… everything about it’s gone to the dogs. I suspect that’s mainly down to everyone jumping on the bandwagon, milking it then dumping it.
It got too big for it’s own good.
Everyone was born to do something….Mat was born to fly!! long live The Condor!!

“Live to ride , ride to live” .Mat did that flair for a kid who only had weeks to live. Was his second ever attempt on a real ramp.
I loved the part in the vid when Mat was riding vert and he was going going off and the camera guy was saying all this wierd stuff

i have not, i see videos now of the same bull shit tricks. this, in 1991 was a revolution of bmx, and without these riders, this video, there would not be other bmx videos, so shut the fuck up and be greatfull for the history in this sport that has made it possible for us all to ride now
